022Maple ridgeThe North Shore Early Years community is supported by a number of coalitions of  agencies and organizations working together to provide  programs and services to families with children 0-6 across the North Shore.  Below is reference to a few of these.

The North Shore Early Years Planning Table 

The Early Years Planning Table is primarily funded through United Way of the Lower Mainland, and is hosted at North Shore Community Resources. Participation on this table represents approximately 30 North Shore agencies and organization.  Its mandate is to increase the capacity of the North Shore community to collaboratively provide inclusive programs, information and resources for children 0-6 and their families that support cognitive, physical, social and emotional health, safety and responsible engagement.

Community Action Plan for Children (CAPC)

First Years Count: Community Action Program for Children is a coalition of four North Shore Agencies, funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada and hosted at North Shore Community Resources. Its mandate is to develop programs that promote the healthy development of young children (0-six years). Its mandate is to provide supports and activities  to children and their families facing challenging  life circumstances.

The North Shore Child Care Planning Table is comprised of agencies and organizations that have close connections to the support of child care and related  issues that impact on the welfare of young children.
